Congratulations on already having your license! You're one step ahead in your journey with Legacy Insurance. Our licensing coordinator will guide you through the appointment process, but you can also follow these steps to expedite your onboarding:
Step 1: Complete Pre-Appointment Checklist
Ensure you've completed the following courses:
- Anti-Money Laundering Course
- Initial Annuity Training (8 hours)
- Initial Long-Term Care CourseVisit our designated training portal to complete these courses:
1. Click on "Course Catalog"
2. Select "Continuing Education"
3. Choose "Initial Product Training"
4. Select your state of residence
5. Add the required courses to your cart
6. Complete the payment process
7. Begin your trainingStep 2: Set Up Errors & Omissions (E&O) Coverage
You'll need your own E&O policy to work with Legacy Insurance:
1. Visit our designated E&O provider's website
2. Enter your Agent ID and email
3. Follow the prompts to set up your coverageStep 3: Set Up Direct Deposit
To ensure prompt payment of your commissions:
1. Log into our agent portal
2. Navigate to "Administration" > "Electronic Forms"
3. Select "Direct Deposit Authorization Agreement Form"
4. Provide the following information:- Your bank's name
- Account information
- Type of bank account
- Account ownersNote: Setting up direct deposit is crucial to avoid processing fees on commission checks.
Step 4: Complete Carrier Appointments
Our licensing coordinator will guide you through the process of getting appointed with our partner carriers. This typically involves:
- Submitting background check information
- Completing carrier-specific training

Don't worry if you're not licensed yet – we're here to help you through every step of the process. Our licensing coordinator will reach out to guide you, but here's an overview of what to expect:
Step 1: Sign Up for Exam Prep
1. Visit our partner exam prep website
2. Click on "Enroll"
3. Select "Insurance Pre-Licensing Bundle"
4. Choose your resident state
5. Select "Life Insurance Pre-Licensing"
6. Add to cart and proceed to checkout
7. Enter discount code: LEGACY
8. Create your student account
- For hiring manager, enter: [Your Hiring Manager's Name]
- For hiring manager's email, enter: [Your Company Email]
9. Complete payment for the pre-licensing courseStep 2: Complete Your Pre-Licensing Course
- Study diligently and complete all course materials
- Take practice exams until you consistently score 80% or higherStep 3: Register for the State Exam
- Visit your state's Insurance Department website for specific requirements
- Use the provided state-specific licensing exam scheduling link
- Choose a convenient date and time for your examStep 4: Take and Pass Your Exam
- Arrive early on exam day with required identification
- Stay calm and apply the knowledge you've gained
- Upon passing, save your score report – you'll need it for the next stepStep 5: Apply for Your License
1. Wait 24 hours after passing your exam
2. Visit the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) website
3. Click on "Individual" and select "Social Security Number"
4. Fill out your personal information
5. Select "Producer Licensing" > "Initial" > "Resident"
6. Choose your resident state
7. Select "Life" (add "Accident & Health" if applicable)
8. Complete all required information, including background check
9. Pay the licensing feeNote: License approval typically takes 2-3 weeks.
Step 6: Complete Post-License Requirements
1. Check your email for a discount code for continuing education classes
2. Complete required courses: Life, Annuity, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Long Term Care, and Health Insurance CE
3. Upload your AML Certificate to our agent portal:
- Go to Menu > Administration > Electronic Forms
- Select "AML Certification"
- Enter completion date and attach your certificateNext Steps

Our goal is to help you learn and earn income as soon as possible, we call it LCP60 (Licensed, Compensated & Promoted in 60 Days).
Set a training schedule with your trainer
Start self-learning: Read, listen, or watch recommended materials
Complete your own PFR (Personal Financial Review)
STEP 4: GET CERTIFIED
Becoming a Field Trainer is not easy, but it is simple. Requirements include:
Certified Field Trainer 1:
Active client
Licensed, E&O and platform in good order
Complete 10 field training appointments
Master personal story & proper edification
Master company overview & collect PFR
Can explain (Term LB, Ethos & Million Dollar Baby, IUL)
Certified Field Trainer 2 (includes CFT 1 Req.):
Can interview & collect ICA
Minimum $5000 cash flow in rolling 3 months
Can explain compensation & promotions
Can complete a fast start with new associate
Minimum 1 recruit & 5K points standard
Competent in structuring IULs, FIAs, Million Dollar Baby, 2nd to Die
